Shock waves

The waves consist of a shock therapy impact, through an electrohydraulic system. This therapy is indicated for calcifications (for example: calcaneal spur, calcification of the tendon Supraspinatus) pseudarthrosis (fractures that have not consolidated after a period of 6 months), bursitis, chronic tendinitis (for example epicondylitis, fascines plantares).

This type of therapy works in 3 ways: mechanical action, analgesic and vascular. The mechanical action causes micro bubbles that erupt fragmented the calcification, analgesic action happens because to intense local stimulus that causes local libertation of enzymes that act on the physiology of pain, about vascular action, with this therapy are formed micro blood vessels that improve local irrigation and oxygenation and subsequent resorption of calcium deposits or cicatrization tissue.

The shock wave therapy are recognized by the European Medical community and approved by FDA (United States) is being published by International Society for Musculoskeletal Shockwave Terapy (ISMST).
